I started bowling about 6 years ago when my dad joined a Friday night league and I started going with him. After about two weeks of watching, I wanted to bowl myself so I would get a lane and start bowling. The local youth director saw me and said “Who are you and why aren’t you in my league?” and she introduced me to the local youth league which gave me the support I needed to start pursuing it competitively. I started entering in local youth tournaments along with JBT’s and have gone from there. Now, I am bowling for Grand Canyon University and now aspire to pursue more competitive, adult tournaments in the near future! I like bowling because it is one of the only sports that can be enjoyed amongst people regardless of skill level. Whether a competitive tournament or just a couple friends going out, the level of fun is the same which is why bowling is the greatest sport in the world!

Favorite thing to do outside of bowling and why?
– When I’m not bowling, I’m a student at Grand Canyon University pursuing a double major in Business Analytics and Finance & Economics. When I’m not a student I often find myself listening to music of all kinds and reading. I like to occupy my time, so if I can learn something from it, I’ll do it!
Favorite movie of all time and why?
– My favorite movie Moneyball since it inspired me to study data analytics and how it can be applied to sports through sabermetrics. I watch it at least 2-3 times a year!
Sports fan? (Favorite teams/ players and why)
– I’m a HUGE sports fan! My teams are the Kansas City Chiefs for NFL, Diamondbacks & Royals for MLB, Suns for NBA, Coyotes for NHL. Sports are the universal language that everyone can understand and be entertained by, that’s why I love them!
Favorite things about working for Virtue
– I’m excited to learn about the technical side of bowling, it will not only help me become a better bowler, but I will also have the opportunity to help teach others about bowling in that way!
If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would it be?
– Determined
