As a kid, going to the bowling alley was always an exciting time. Every time I would walk by the pro shop, I always thought it would be awesome to have my own bowling ball and bowling shoes, so when the opportunity to join the youth league came, I knew I had to take it. During this league I taught myself to bowl with this new “two handed” style. My best friend and I then continued to bowl together, and then we joined the bowling team in high school sophomore year when it started back up. I bowled on the varsity all three years on the bowling team, and my senior year we won the Oregon State High School Bowling tournament. My best friend and I took bowling very seriously, and we learned all the science of bowling together. We learned a lot from our PSO at home, where we would spend countless hours after school. Our PSO taught us how to do everything you needed to do in a pro shop. When I moved to Arizona to go to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, I knew I wanted to continue my bowling career. I have bowled leagues, averaging around 200, and local tournaments, and I plan to bowl some bigger tournaments.
